A top battle clash with take place on Tuesday as PSV take on Atletico Madrid at Phillips Stadion in the group stage game of the UEFA Champions League. Both teams have been in good form this season, they both have been unbeaten this season.
PSV have been on a good form since the beginning of this season, they are on a 6 game on unbeaten run in all competitions. Their last game was a 4-0 away win over NEC in the Eredivisie last Saturday. It only took PSV 24 minutes to tear NEC’s defence apart, they scored the 4 goals just 24 minutes into the game. Rameselaar netted the first goal in the 4th, later G. Perriero made it 2-0 in the 10th minute before J. Brenet and de Jong scored the 4th goal in the 20the and 24th minute respectively. They now prepare to keep going with the good form.
On the flip side, Atletico Madrid enter this game from a game unbeaten run in the La Liga, having drawn 2 and won 1. They started the season with back to back draws, but they picked up on Saturday as they beat Celta de Vigo 4-0. The first half of the game ended in a goalless draw, but Simeone’s boys entered the second half with a bang. Koke opened the score in the 53rd minute, later Griezmann’s brace in 73rd and 81st minute made it 3-0 before Correa sealed the victory in the 89th minute.
